For my neice's 6th birthday, I painted her a mermaid picture for her room. This is acrylic on canvas and measures roughly 2.5 x 2 feet. Turns out my sister thought it looked better hanging in the bathroom to match the oceanic theme. I got this idea from some memaid-themed Pottery Barn items in their kid's furniture catalog. You never know where you will get good ideas from!
