We auditioned today for the 2011 Ethnic Dance Festival held at Zellerbach Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. It was a great venue; huge theater and awesome sound system. We met early this morning to take care of our hair and make-up. We went for the "big" stage effects with lots of flowers in our hair and dramatic make-up. Since we were doing
auwana, modern hula
this year instead of our usual
kahiko, traditional hula, our lole requirements were a little different! Everyone looked beautiful!
